Since its inception, GAIL has played a pivotal role in development of Indian energy sector. Within a very short span of time, we have established ourselves as a Global Maharatna with significant presence in the entire gas value chain. Our fast progression has made us face resultant business complexities, associated confrontation of global scale competition in all major business verticals. Besides rising competition, we have also witnessed a pivotal transformation across energy sector in recent years, driven by various factors such as rising demand, technological innovation, geopolitical shifts and environmental concerns. Considering the imminent challenges and sectorial transformation, we have adopted our long term strategic plan - “Strategy 2030” to overcome business challenges and new areas for growth and the way forward. Keeping in mind changing times of our industry and our new strategic objectives, we have revisited our Vision and Mission statements to accurately describe our purpose of existence, objectives and overarching aspirations. These new vision and mission statements of GAIL reflect our core value system including why we exist, what we do and why we do it.
