Aiding
take-off

Few corporations seem to take their Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) practices as seriously as GAIL.

While it reflects GAIL’s professionalism and acknowledgement of deeper corporate ethics, it also shows it as a company with a heart. Thus, the brochure on its CSR initiatives, Hriday, seems to be aptly named.

In the words of GAIL CMD, Proshonto Banerjee : “We realize the value of helping others; our responsibility extends to people from all areas of life. We aspire to help them to help themselves.” Hriday highlights how GAIL has gone about doing just that.

Most photographs speak for themselves. The large smiles on people’s faces must be encouraging GAIL to carry on its endeavors. People’s caricatures, done in warm hues, add a nice touch.

More touching is the story contained in Hariday pages. They go on to describe GAIL’s involvement in very aspect of people’s lives. Be it child education, environment protection and horticulture, creation of basic infrastructure such as roads and electricity, safe drinking water, sanitation, heather care and medical facilities, GAIL has invested in each. At the end, GAIL promises an increase in its CSR initiatives. This brochure should serve the dual propose of making people aware of GAIL’s good work and serving as an example for corporation to be replicated at their own end.

Keep up the good work, GAIL. We would definitely like to hear and see more of the same.
