Shri B C Tripathi takes over as GAIL Director (Marketing)
New Delhi, July 6, 2007: Shri B C Tripathi today took over as Director (Marketing) of GAIL (India) Limited. Prior to taking over as Director (Marketing), Shri Tripathi was Executive Director (Projects) with the Company.
As Director (Marketing), Shri Tripathi will be responsible for marketing GAIL’s complete range of products and services in the field of natural gas, including R-LNG, LPG, Propane and other liquid hydrocarbons, Petrochemicals (HDPE and LLDPE) and Bandwidth Leasing in Telecom sector.
Shri Tripathi is a Mechanical Engineer from NIT Allahabad formerly known as Moti Lal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad. He joined GAIL during its inception in 1984 and has over 25 years experience in Gas Sector. Prior to joining GAIL he had also worked in ONGC.
Shri Tripathi was one of the initial team members involved in the construction and commissioning of the HVJ pipeline system. Subsequently, he worked in the Operations & Maintenance of the pipeline network including at Compressor Station in UP region. During his tenure in Operations, he has been actively involved in customer relations and servicing of major consumers in gas sector. His major responsibilities included Customer Relationship Management, ensuring uninterrupted gas supply and coordination with consumers.
He has been involved in several prestigious projects related to Pipelines which GAIL has executed including among others the Hazira – Vijaipur – Jagdishpur (HVJ) Pipeline, Dahej – Vijaipur Pipeline (DVPL), Vishakhapatnam – Secunderabad LPG Pipeline (VSPL) and the Dahej – Uran Pipeline (DUPL) and Dabhol – Panvel Pipeline (DPPL).
