GAIL gets MOU Award for Excellence

New Delhi, January 10, 2006 GAIL (India) Limited has won the MOU Award for Excellence in Performance for the year 2003-2004. Mr. Proshanto Banerjee, Chairman and Managing Director, received the award on behalf of GAIL from Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in a function held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today.

The MOUs indicate the performance targets on a five point Scale for the ensuring financial yar for the Crucial parameters like production, Sales, Profit, etc. The other dynamic parameters of significance for strengthening the future potential of the enterprises such as project Implementation, R&D, Human Resource Development etc, are also included in the MOUs.

GAIL is the country’s premier gas transmission & marketing company with significant interest in Gas Processing (LPG, Propane and other Liquid Hydrocarbons), petrochemicals (HDPE, LLDPE), LPG Pipeline Transmission and Telecom (bandwidth leasing).
