GAIL signs MOU with Cosmos of Bangladesh

March 15, 2005, New Delhi GAIL (India) Limited and Cosmos of Bangladesh have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding for joint cooperation in the areas of NGL fractionation, Gas processing and LPG projects in Bangladesh

GAIL will undertake projects for NGL fractionation, Gas processing and LPG projects on Build Own Operate and Transfer basis or any other basis as offered by Government of Bangladesh / authorized agency in Bangladesh. COSMOS will offer certain services required for implementation of projects, in cost effective and timely manner, and provide all support and coordination in obtaining all statutory clearances and approvals required for such projects.

COSMOS will develop business opportunities involving GAIL’s expertise in the areas of Gas processing, LPG production, distribution and marketing for other private and public sector companies in Bangladesh.

GAIL and COSMOS shall offer consultancy services to Petrobangla and its subsidiaries, other companies for design, development, operation and maintenance of NGL fractionation, LPG and Gas Processing plants including up-gradation of existing plants.
