GAIL rewards top performers

New Delhi, April 27, 2006. GAIL (India) Limited rewarded top performing polymer products customers and consignment stockists in the function held in New Delhi on 26th April 2006. Dr. U D Choubey, Director (Marketing) presented the top performing stockists and customers with trophies. Also present on the occasion were Shri B S Negi, Director (Business Development); Shri M.R. Hingnikar, Director (HR); Shri A D Mehrotra, CVO; and Shri R. Suresh, Executive Director (Marketing).

The customers who were felicitated on the occasion included top business houses like Nilkamal Plastics, Sintex Industries, Garware Wall-ropes, Duraline India, Narmada Extrusions, Chemiplast, Veer plastics among others. GAIL is the only company in the industry which felicitates top consignment stockists by giving them a cash prize up to one lakh rupees. GAIL has a network of consignment stockists located in all major plastic processing centres in the country. The Roll of Honour award is given to top 2 consignment stockists, where as the Shield of Honour is given to top 12 consignment stockists.

GAIL produces a range of quality polymer grades in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) from its world class Petrochemical plant located at Pata, Distt Etawah (UP). Last year the company sold about 3,11,000 tonnes of polymers in a highly competitive market, which corresponds to a market share of about 23 per cent. GAIL supply chain management and network is designed to ensure regular supply of material through multiple delivery modes, both from production site, as well as stock points.
