GAIL bags Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar
GAIL has bagged the prestigious Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar for the year 2005 for LPG Plant, Vijaipur, MP. It is for the first time that GAIL is receiving this coveted award. Shri S.P Rao, Director (Projects) received the award from Shri Chandrashekhar Sahu, Hon'ble Union Minister for Labour at Vigyan Bhawan today during the 11th National Conference on Safety, Health and Environment organized by National Safety Council. GAIL's LPG plant at Lakwa, Assam and LPG Plant at Usar and HVJ Compressor Station, Dibiyapur UP received the Suraksha Puraskar and Prashansa Patra respectively for the year 2005
GAIL's LPG Plant at Viajiapur, M P also received Shreshtha Suraksha Puraskar for the year 2004. GAIL's U P Petrochemical Complex, Pata, UP and LPG Recovery Plant, Lakwa, Assam received the Prashansa Patra for the year 2004
GAIL received these awards in the manufacturing segment, instituted by National Safety Council, the apex body in the country in the field of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) set up by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India.
