New Delhi, April 13, 2006: GAIL (India) Limited signed Gas Transmission Agreement (GTA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) for RRVUNL's 330 MW Gas based power plant at Dholpur. The GTA was signed by Dr. U D Choubey, Director (Marketing), GAIL and Shri N S Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, RRVUNL in Jaipur

Under the agreement, 1.5 MMSCMD of gas will be transmitted to RRVUNL's Dholpur plant. GAIL will be laying a new spur line of approximately 30 kilometers to connect Dholpur power plant from the tap-off point at Ibrahimpur (SV-7) on the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur (HVJ) pipeline of GAIL. Advance action has been initiated by GAIL to undertake the project related activities of the Ibrahimpur- Dholpur Pipeline on fast track basis.
