GAIL's quest for LNG from Algeria

At a high level meeting on the sidelines of Asia Gas Partnership Summit 2006, an invitation was extended to Shri Proshanto Banerjee, Chairman and Managing Director, GAIL to visit the head quarters of Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation, Algeria to discuss cooperation in a number of areas.

The most important item on the agenda would be supply of LNG to India from the Skikda project in Algeria from 2008-09
