GAIL participates in INDIACHEM 2006 at Mumbai
GAIL participated in INDIACHEM 2006 held at NSE Grounds, Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from November 8-10, 2006 at Mumbai. The event was organised by FICCI and Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals. It was a B2B event for the Chemical, Pharmaceuticals and Petrochemicals Industries, which is organised once in every two years. It is popular for being the only conference-cum-exhibition of this sort, representing these sectors. The conference highlighted India as an investment destination, a base for technology development and technology transfer. It also showcased Indian capabilities in these sectors to attract global investors. IndiaChem has become a global event with 42 percent of international participation in 2004, which helped India and global companies to explore the possibilities of mergers, joint ventures, setting up of R&D base and strategic alliances.
Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, inaugurated the exhibition. He also visited GAIL’s stall. Mr. M M Mandal, ED (Marketing), Mr. Vivek Joshi, GM (Corporate Communication), Mr. V C Chittoda, ZGM Mumbai and Mr. A K Das, DGM (PC Marketing) were the senior officials present at the event. The stall was visited and appreciated by many visitors.
