Director (Marketing) visits GAIL, Hyderabad.

On 12th May 2006, Dr. U D Choubey, Director(Marketing) GAIL, visited GAIL Hyderabad Zonal Office. He addressed the GAIL HZO employees where he mentioned that zonal offices are front end of the company and further emphasized the need for lightning response to various developments in the present business scenario Meeting was arranged with M/s. Visura Trading & Investments (I) Ltd., GAIL HZO’s consignment stockiest to address various issues pertaining to polymer business.

Director (Marketing) met Hon’ble Minister of Information, Public Relation, Energy and Coal, Andhra Pradesh, Sh. Shabbir Ali Mohammed and deliberations were made on various possibilities of GAIL’s association with the state government for the development of the state.

Dr. Choubey also participated in the seminar, “Natural Gas- Unraveling the potential of the K G Basin” organized by CII on the same day. He complimented state government and CII for organizing the seminar at such a crucial juncture when K G basin is witnessing fascinating growth and tremendous opportunities for development of the gas based sector in the state. In his address during the seminar Director (Marketing) touched upon various issues related to strategies for Gas marketing and he spoke in length on competitive and long term gas market perspective, governments initiatives, LNG, demand supply gap, regulatory act, power sector reforms, domestic-auto- city gas market, spot market, e-trading, bench marking for tariff, real time gas management etc. He also advocated for integration of new sources with the pipeline infrastructure and role of state government and GAIL into it.
