GAIL signs gas Supply contract with Bhagyanagar Gas Ltd

GAIL(India) Limited , HZO signed gas supply contract amendment with Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL) on 29.06.2006 for extending the gas supply contract dated 1.07.2005 for a period up to 31st December 2015. BGL is a Joint Venture Company of GAIL(India) Ltd., & Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) registered on 22nd August 2003 ,for implementation of City Gas Projects in Andhra Pradesh . BGL has a gas allocation of 0.10 MMSCMD for supply of CNG in various parts of Andhra Pradesh. Shri C N Trivedi , Managing Director, BGL and Shri Rajesh Vedvyas , Zonal GM, HZO signed the gas supply contract amendment .Gas is being supplied from a tap –off of Lanco Kondapalli pipeline at City gas Station.

BGL has the credit of pioneering CNG in Southern part of India. At present, BGL is operating 4 CNG Stations (01 mother and 03 daughter) in Vijayawada. BGL has also planned to set up CNG stations in Hyderabad with gas supply through cascades from Vijayawada, till gas pipeline is constructed / available in close vicinity of Hyderabad.BGL has the vision of providing eco-friendly fuels and related services for Automobiles, domestic and commercial users in the state of Andhra Pradesh . The gas supply contract amendment is expected to give a fillip to the activities of BGL .
