GAIL bags Nine Greentech Safety Awards

GAIL (India) Limited bagged 9 Greeentech Safety Awards. Shri S P Rao, Director (Projects), GAIL received the awards from Mr. G Vinod, Hon’ble Minister of Labour, Employment, Handloom and Textile, Andhra Pradesh on 8th April 2006 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

Sh. S Ghosh, ED (Gas O&M), senior officials from GAIL, Hyderabad and other site offices were present on the occasion.

Sh. S P Rao was the Guest of Honor for the Function. Speaking on the occasion he briefed the gathering on world class practices being followed at GAIL in Health, Safety and Environment.

GAIL’s work center at Vijaipur, Pata, Vizag – Secunderabad LPG pipeline, Hazira, Vaghodia and Gandhar received the coveted Greentech Safety Gold Award - 2006. GAIL’s work centers at National Capital Region, Delhi, Jhabua and Lakwa received the Greentech Safety Silver Award – 2006.

The coveted award is given in recognition of the company’s commitment towards HSE practices. The awards come close on the heels of GAIL getting the prestigious Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar for the year 2005, instituted by National Safety Council.
