GAIL’s Assistance to visually challenged chess player
GAIL (India) Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs. 1 Lakh to a visually challenged chess player Shri K. Shivashekhar of Rajahmundry (A.P.). This amount will be given to him in 8 installments to participate in the various all India level tournaments of chess for visually challenged. He will first participate in the Open National Chess Championship for Visually Handicapped at Mumbai from 19th to 25th March, 07.
Shri Narendra Kumar, DGM & OIC, GAIL, Rajahmundry alongwith his best wishes an blessings presented a cheque for the first installment of the sponsorship to Shri K. Shivashekhar on the 16th of March.
