Petrochemical Meet 2007, Hyderabad

GAIL Hyderabad Zonal Office organized a Petrochemical Consumer Meet at Hyderabad on 3rd February 2007. Around 50 consumers of HDPE and LLDPE from Hyderabad and nearby locations and consignment stockist were present in the meeting to discuss the various technical and commercial issues on the subject. As Andhra Pradesh is now a fast growing state for agro-based products, apart from another 17 potential areas of capacity expansion – a guest lecture was organised and delivered by Sh B K Karna, Dy. Director and Head, Indian Institute of Packaging, Hyderabad Chapter.. He gave an interesting presentation on the various opportunities of plastics in the field of packaging. In all it was a very fruitful discussion on product innovation and opportunities in packaging sector with specific focus on the plastic industry in the state. The participants were equally enthusiastic which made the Question Answer session very interactive.

Sh. Balram Reddy, Territory Manager HZO welcomed all the participants followed by the inaugural speech by Sh. Rajesh Vedvyas, HZO ZGM- Sh Shivaji Basu, Chief Manager (Mktg) discussed various issues related to the meet. Sh H H Meshram from Operation group, PATA was also present to have a first hand feel of the product quality and product delivery of GAIL in the AP market. Finally, Sh. N.K. Raju CM (HR) delivered the vote of thanks.
