2nd GAIL Plastasia 2007 inaugurated
2nd GAIL Plastasia 2007 was inaugurated on 23rd February 2007 at Palace Ground, Bangalore by Shri Ramchandra Gowda , Honorable Minister of Science and Technology, Govt. of Karnataka. Following the inauguration of the event, Shri Gowda also inaugurated the GAIL Pavilion installed at the venue. The niche event showcasing plastic processor, manufacturers and plastic molding machineries will continue from 23rd to 26th February 2007. Mr Gopinath Swamy, ZGM, Shri U S Pandey, Sr. Branch Manager and Shri Vijay Chhokar, Sr Manager (PC Mktg.) were present on the Inaugural programme among other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Gowda said that plastics have become a very important facilitator in our day to day activities. Such an event provides an opportunity of interaction among the people in the business of Plastics. He thanked GAIL for supporting the event.
Mr Gopinath Swamy enlightened the audience about GAIL’s Business activities in Southern India in particular. He said that GAIL is planning to set up a gas based petrochemical Complex at Kochi catering largely to the growing demand of the region. He added that the setting up of petrochemical plant will be based on the richness of gas available at the Kochi LNG terminal.. He wished the organizers all the best for the successful completion of the event.
