    • Rich and varied service career spanning over 36 years.
    • Held various assignments under the Govt. of India and state of Punjab.
    • Has rich professional knowledge and experience in the fields of industry, corporate management, commerce, international trade and finance.
    • Has published a book titled “The Performance of India’s Export Zones: A comparison with the Chinese Approach”.
    • Occasionally contributes articles for the financial dailies.

1. Career Profile
  • Ex-Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL).
  • Retired as C&MD, BPCL in 2002.
  • Ex-part-time Chairman, Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (a BPCL subsidiary) & Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (joint venture of BPCL & GAIL).
  • Held various assignments such as Internal Auditor, Management Accountant, Financial Controller of BPCL.
  • Ex-Director (Finance), BPCL.
  • Member of Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.

Shri Sundararajan was at the helm of developing BPCL’s Information Technology Department and, when he was chairman, he played the lead role in implementing a major “aspirational transformation programme” that helped BPCL to acquire the capability to take on the fierce competition that was inevitable after the deregulation of the oil industry.

He is an active advisor to the Associated Cement Companies Ltd. on the industry’s transformation plans, and also works with the Mumbai-based Petroleum India International.
