LPG Transportation in India

Traditionally, the Road transportation mode was highest in LPG transportation compared to the Rail mode. After commissioning of GAIL's LPG pipelines, the share of pipeline transportation has increased manifold.GAIL is the only company in India which owns and operates pipelines for LPG transmission. It has a 1900 km LPG pipeline network, 1300 km of which connects western and northern parts of India and 600 km of network is in southern part of the country. The LPG transmission system has a capacity to transport 3.8 MMTPA LPG
