LITERACY ENHANCEMENT/EMPOWERMENT (20%)
More than 50 years after Independence, a huge percentage of the Indian population is illiterate, while quality of education remains a distant dream for many others. Recognizing this reality, we have provided funds to district authorities for setting up primary schools and adult education centres in distant villages, so as to increase literacy levels. Libraries, laboratories and empowerment of the differently abled are also on our agenda.
The significance of education has always been uppermost in our minds. We believe in its long-term impact.
