Carrying forward Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a clean India, the Swachh Bharat Fortnight was inaugurated in GAIL (India) Limited today with Chairman and Managing Director Shri B C Tripathi, Directors and senior executives joining company employees in a cleanliness drive at the Purana Quila here. On the occasion, the Chairman also administered a cleanliness oath to the assembled employees who enthusiastically took part in cleaning activities at the historical monument.
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, GAIL has constructed 3,614 toilets in schools across 13 districts in two states and has also taken up the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness at Purana Quila and Safadarjung Tomb.
Over the next two weeks, GAIL shall undertake cleanliness and awareness drives at Purana Quila, Safdurjung Tomb, Bhikaiji Cama Place and also at other public spaces such as Bus stops, market areas, railway stations, etc. around GAIL’s work centres as part of Swachh Bharat Fortnight.
